Qualities To Look Out For In A Beauty Salon

Beauty salons offer more than just hair services; most generally they take care of every part of your body through different services. If you value how your body gets treated with every session that you go for, you should pay attention to what the beauty salon you have selected has to offer you. There are a few qualities that every good beauty salon should have and they can help you choose the best beauty salons to get your beauty treatments from.

Exceptional services

Hair and beauty salons should not only offer a variety of services, but they should be high quality services to you the customer. Remember that there are shops that deal only with hair, but a full beauty salon should offer other services including hair, hands and feet services, cosmetic, body and face services. Whether you are going for a haircut, pedicure, and facial or makeup, the services that you get should be professional. Look at all the services you can get from your salon and just how professionally they get done. A salon that offers more than one service is better because it means you can get any beauty treatment whenever.

Reliable operation hours

It is hard to find a beauty salon that offers services round the clock, but it should at least have reasonable and reliable working hours. The hours of operation should be flexible to match customer schedules in that you know you can rely on the salon when you need the services very early in the morning before going to work or very late in the evening after a hard day at the office. When comparing the best beauty salons, make sure you check from what time they open and at what time they close and then relate the hours to your normal schedule so you know whether you can trust the salon to come through for you when you want an appointment.

Modern beauty equipment and quality products

They can both determine the results you have with your treatments. Hair and beauty salons that are always upgrading to better equipment and safer products tend to offer better services. Find out what equipment the salon has to achieve a desired look or treatment and whether you can trust in the quality of the beauty products it uses. It is better to be charged a slightly higher price for the services and enjoy quality than lower prices for low quality services.

Inviting atmosphere

Cleanliness is paramount for any good beauty salon. It should at least be well lit and clean from the floors to the equipment and items used on you. You will feel more relaxed in a salon that shows a little effort from the side of the management. For instance a beauty shop that has mirrors that are elegantly framed, soft music, towel racks that are organized and display cabinets and other features have an easy time creating an inviting ambience. The atmosphere should generally make you feel at ease and give the staff confidence as they work.

Improve Personal Productivity by Knowing Yourself Well

How do we improve personal productivity at work? Recall that personal productivity is an equation of Me, You and Situation? We want to work on the Me factor. Personal productivity starts from the individual’s awareness or as we term it Personal Awareness. Personal Awareness is based on how our mental model works. Your mental model setups mental boundaries, predict the outcome or process of work. Our personal awareness (surrounding the Me) can be characterized into four quadrants.

“I know what I can do” – The most preferred quadrant. Individuals of this quadrant know what they are doing. Know who, what, where, when and how they can do to achieve their objectives. Usually they are confident individuals that are able to predict the outcome.

“I know what I cannot do” – Usually paired together with individuals of “I know what I can do”; Individuals are conscious of their limit of their abilities. This is important as they can identify which type of work is suitable for them and which are above their abilities.

“I do not know what I can do” – Individuals fail to recognize their fullest potential. Their superiors may have identified their untapped potentials but always stumble with the unwillingness of the individual to unleash them. Usually these individuals are resistance to change.

“I do not know what I cannot do” – Ignorance is not a blessing here. Individuals that fall into this quadrant are usually ignorant and over-confident. They fail to see what they can’t perform and usually get themselves into trouble.

Personal productivity starts from understanding your personal awareness. In the four quadrants, by knowing where you are, you can estimate your effort in a task, the time frame committed, the boundaries you are working in, or even further improve personal productivity. Personal productivity is not merely the personal aspect but it can also be achieved at the situational aspect where for example, you are aware of how much effort is required in performing a certain task in a particular situation.

Of course, there is no one straight cut to a specific quadrant. There can be combinations of quadrant and they can deviate in different situations. Now look back the past events that happened at work. Which of the quadrants do you feel you best relate to in how you are aware of yourself and the situation? Were you able to identify that you were able to optimize personal productivity if you were being more aware of yourself or the situation? Have a thought about it! 😉
